The challenge for this week of “Project Runway” was to design a dress for country music star Miranda Lambert. To add to the pressure, Miranda was there herself to help judge the designs and offer her own critiques. And she proved that she had no intention of being one of those gushing celebrities who says everything is great. She didn’t hold back at all.
She was particularly disappointed in Matt, who saw himself land in the bottom thanks to his design. He couldn’t stop apologizing for it, either, which seemed to bother Miranda more than the design itself.
“You know what? I don’t even want to talk about it, because you obviously know what’s wrong with it,” she said. “I just want to talk about you not having confidence in your own craft. Because, if you don’t have confidence in your craft, then no one else can.”
She encouraged him to find his confidence, though it wouldn’t be on “Project Runway” as Matt was eliminated. Perhaps proving Miranda right, Matt didn’t cry. He said he deserved it and knew his time was coming. Buddy TV hopes his elimination doesn’t hurt his confidence even more.
Miranda will be a guest judge on Project Runway tonight at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime. Their challenge was to design a performance outfit and a red carpet dress for Miranda! Check out this clip of her, looking amazing. I will definitely try to get those screen captures for you all.

The Pistol Annies “Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta” episode airs tonight (Aug. 24) at 8:00 PM ET on TLC. I’ll try to get screen captures for the gallery!
Miranda Lambert has been a fan of TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress” since she was planning her own wedding to hubby Blake Shelton. Now, the singer-songwriter and her Pistol Annies bandmates will be a part of the dreams and drama when they appear on “Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta” in order to find bandmate Angaleena Presley the perfect gown for her wedding to Jordan Powell, which took place in May.
“There is no way I would want to do this without them,” Angaleena says in the episode of Miranda and their cohort Ashley Monroe. “I’m eloping, so this is way to feel like a bride and do bride stuff.”
“This is the only time for us to see her in her dress, so it’s a big deal for us,” adds Miranda, who wore her mother’s wedding dress when she walked down the aisle last year.
The episode, which serves as the debut for the show’s fourth season, includes the ups-and-downs that come with these country singers expressing their opinions. Will “Holler Annie” choose the vintage lace, the mullet dress (yes, you read that right), or something more Jackie O? Either way, her Pistol sisters are armed and ready to shoot down any pick of which they don’t approve.
The episode airs Friday (Aug. 24) at 9pm ET on TLC.
